British boxer Anthony Joshua Discharged from Hospital in Lagos Following Deadly Road Accident
The British boxer Anthony Joshua has been released from care, Nigerian authorities stated on Wednesday evening. The 36-year-old was involved in a car accident outside Lagos on the 29th of December, a horrific crash that claimed the lives of two of his close associates.
Healing from Light Wounds
The sports star had remained in the hospital while recovering from minor injuries, his management team stated earlier on Monday. A government official, Gbenga Omotoso, said in a statement online that Joshua was deemed clinically fit to leave and heal privately.
“Joshua and his mother were at the funeral home in Lagos this afternoon to offer their condolences to his two departed friends as they were being readied to be sent home,” the commissioner stated.
Remembering the Victims
The victims of the crash were named as Latif Ayodele, a personal trainer, and Sina Ghami, a performance coach. The official further stated that the athlete was heartbroken and full of emotions over the loss of his two dear friends.”
