Homages Continue for the Reiners as Autopsy Reports Remain Under Wraps.

Over a fortnight after the tragic deaths of celebrated film director Rob Reiner and his partner, photographer Michele Reiner, the entertainment community continue to honor the duo.

Quoting a Classic: Cary Elwes Pays Tribute to His Director

Writing on social media, actor Cary Elwes, who rose to fame in Reiner's iconic movie *The Princess Bride*, stated he just recently felt prepared to share openly about his personal sorrow.

"Enough time has gone by that I can now express my sorrow into words," posted Elwes, noting that his introductory moment with Reiner created an instant bond. "As we began spending more time together I realized this was someone I desired in my life."

The actor shared behind-the-scenes footage from the movie, remarking that he could not remember "any day without mirth".

"The film is about affection, allegiance and giving. Values that Rob valued immensely. Which is among the many reasons he was the best person to helm it," Elwes expressed.

He additionally honored Michele Reiner, saying: "Asserting that they were a great team would be an oversimplification. My heart still pangs every time I remember you." He ended with a line from *The Princess Bride*: "Indeed, death cannot stop true love but life is pain without you."

Martin Scorsese Reflects on a Colleague and Comrade

In a different essay, legendary director Martin Scorsese shared memories of Reiner, whom he first met in the 1970s.

"Immediately, I loved hanging out with Rob. We had a innate rapport for each other. He was hilarious and sometimes sharply witty, but he was never the kind of guy who would dominate the room," Scorsese wrote.

Scorsese highlighted Reiner's acting part in his 2013 film *The Wolf of Wall Street*, playing the father of the lead role.

"He was skilled at improv with the best. He was a virtuoso at comedy, he worked wonderfully with everyone, and he understood the emotional dilemma of his character," Scorsese added.

Court Proceedings: Autopsy Reports Restricted

This week, a Los Angeles superior court judge decided to prevent the disclosure of the Reiners' post-mortem findings, following a petition from the LAPD.

A legal directive issued a embargo on the cases to prohibit the public release of "all case details, evidence and photographs" pertaining to the ongoing investigation.

The Medical Examiner's office had earlier stated their deaths were the outcome of homicide, with a public database noting the cause as "multiple sharp force injuries".

Response and Criticism

After the tragedy, public personalities expressed divergent responses.

Former President Donald Trump wrote on the matter, making controversial statements that were met with immediate backlash by many individuals.

Podcaster Joe Rogan contributed his voice to the critics last week. Conversing on his show, Rogan labeled the statements as "shocking" and implied they showed a worrisome deficiency of sympathy.

Rogan finished by suggesting that an adviser should have intervened when the impulse to weigh in on the tragedy was made.
